1. We have had two questions that are very similar: What's the best recovery for a vigorous training session including sparring and grappling? How do you recover from a daily training routine, knowing you've got a grueling workout the next day?

Nutrition is key. Eating a baked potato daily is the best "carbo loading out there. You may want to eat two a day. Drinking a glass of orange juice with 1/8 teaspoon of sea salt is a way to help get essential minerals back into your body. Adding 4 oz of protein to your diet is an effective way to build muscle. Coconut water is the best sports drink out there. One suggestion is to combine the coconut water, orange juice, and sea salt together. When drinking water Fiji is the best bottle water. Making sure you get saturated fat in you is huge. 4 Coconut oil pills will get you on the way to recovery. A hot bath with Epsom salts for 20 min. is a great way to get magnesium into your body. It soaks right through the skin. If you are facing another competition the next day you can use an ice bath or cold shower to reduce inflammation. If done too much however it wears out the adrenals. Massage is another tool to recover quickly as it moves blood and oxygen and gets rid of lactic acid.

2. How do you recover from a morning training session with an afternoon/evening session coming up soon?

Again nutrition is the key. A small meal containing protein, carbohydrates(fruit and vegetables), saturated fat, brown rice and/or potato. Get a 15 minute nap and a hot shower before returning. Make sure you are properly hydrated. Coconut water is the best sports drink for recovery. Fiji is the
