1. How do you recover from a long training camp in the last couple days before a weigh-in?

Complete rest is essential. The body has the ability to heal when you give it the proper amount of rest. Hot baths with Epsom salts will help restore muscle function and remove lactic acid. Coconut water will help replenish electrolytes. A massage and dynamic stretching with the bands will help your muscles relax. As you must restrict diet before weigh in keep coconut water in you to maintain electrolyte balance. Eat small amounts of potatoes to keep blood sugar from plummeting. Eat small amounts of fruit and protein as well. Saturated fat will keep your metabolism up and keep you burning calories to keep your weight down.

2. How do you recover after weigh-ins?

You need to immediately eat a full meal. Protein, carbohydrates(potatoes, brown rice, fruit and vegetables). Saturated fat such as coconut oil or red palm oil is a great energy source. Avocado's are great as well. Hydrate immediately as everyone restricts water to keep weight down. Coconut water and fiji are the best sources.
