Welcome to the third installment of our discussion on supplements. In the first two segments we discussed how nature provides the essential amino acids and nutrients we need to survive and excel. We do advocate the use of supplements such as Trace Minerals, sea salt and spirulina because they are natural and help replenish essential nutrients. In this segment we will be discussing the dangers of heaving lifting and the use of steroids as it relates to weight gain. We will also discuss a safe way to put on the correct amount of mass.

Many people break the body down through heavy lifting or use steroids to gain mass. In reality, a muscle's power has little to do with its mass. In terms of steroids, steroids don't build mass, they allow you to recover quicker so you can do more heavy lifting. This puts the body's connective tissue under greater strain and often leads to injuries.

If you are using conventional weight training methods to achieve mass here are a few tips. Keep the weight you are lifting between 50 - 60% of your body weight, with 15 - 20 reps. You will want to do 4 to 5 sets. When you are trying to achieve body mass through nutrition you to eat more of everything; protein, carbs and fats-natural fats. Natural saturated fat, like the fat in avocados or coconut oil is good for you. Do not go on a protein only diet, this acts a weight loss, not weight gain diet because the protein blocks insulin and sugar.

In conclusion, you can gain weight through diet and exercise. Just make sure you think before you eat. Eat more natural foods, and if you're trying to gain weight, eat more of all of the natural foods. If you are using weights, do less weight, more times. You can save the integrity of your connective tissue and joints. Enjoy and good luck.

John, were you only performing water workouts during that period or were FF & BB workouts used too.

through the water workouts 3-5 days a week and proper dieting i was able to put on 10 lbs no problem of muscles give it a shot let me know if you need advice on eating

I want you guys to put 10 pounds on me when I come back T lol
