Core Hold
Isometric exercises use a static muscular contraction against resistance in a holding position. The Core Hold will work you chest, core and forearms. You will also be awakening the proprioceptors in your hands. The only piece of exercise equipment you need is a gym ball.
Procedure:
Get into a regular pushup position. Place an exercise ball under your feet. The tops of your feet are the only thing on the exercise ball. Extend your body as straight as possible. Keep your back straight, no rounding. Now, hold. Hold this position for as long as possible.
Tips:
Flare your hands out slightly to help maintain position.
