Plantar fasciitis

So I am currently training for Rugby and apparently did not know I had plantar fasciitis when I was doing some speed agility quickness training I went to change directions I went to Plantarflex my left foot to accelerate and I hear a Loud "Snap" in my foot. Immediately I knew I tore some fascia In my foot.Which i did, which was my plantar fascia connective tissue which basically connects the heel of the feet and covers nearly the entire length of the foot to the toes. (I am extremely flat footed) So now I cant training at all and wanted to get some peoples insight on this injury and some suggestions on rehabbing and such

Re: Plantar fasciitis

Sorry it took me so long to see this.

Here is a YouTube video with an excellent rehab program for Plantar Fasciitis. I used it to cure mine:

Always use a calf stretch before any leg work.

Thanks for the reply.

Re: Plantar fasciitis

Its going to take time. Cold laser therapy has been able to speed up the recovery process of injuries and of course, good nutrition.

I think getting as much motion in there without really hurting yourself is a good thing for now. And as soon as pain tolerance allows, going through the foundational footwork protocol for rehab and prevention of future similar injuries.

Ice it 15 on 15 off over a 90 minute period after you workout or train during these acute times.
