Other training Methodologies combined with SSL

I was wondering if anybody here in the SSL communities combine SSL training methods with other training methods, and if so what are they? I have been training with another training method along with SSL for about 5 mounths now and have achieved great results. I'm not trying to take anything away from SSL, so I'm asking the community if it's ok to share other methods I use combined with SSL to achieve optimal results?

oh ya, thats whats great about SSL.
It enhances any workout that you are doing.
I love powerlifting, SSL makes me a better powerlifter.
It just depends on your goals, the key to training is finding the methods that work the best for you and apply to your goals.
Like bruce lee said, absorb what is useful reject the useless.

I incorporate ballistic type work using resistance bands and also bodyweight exercise for strength training. I used to essentially bodybuild, but have sense abandoned that sort of training protocol for a number of different reasons; the most important being its detrimental effect on overall athleticism. My advice is to do a little research on whatever modalities you're incorporating, but to really gauge the true benefit based on performance. If you're making improvements, stick with it. If not, fix it or scrap it altogether. There are myriad ways of becoming a better athlete, but some methodologies (like SSL) have proven and are proving to be demonstrably better than others.

well i still do my juijitsu work and wrestling drills a swell as boxing and muay thai which is natural for the sport i participate in but i believe as long as what you're doing it sport's specific it's fine i love to lift my own body weight it's fun and challenging in jiujitsu fr drills and conditioning you do a lot of that as well as climb and whip ropes
Re: Other training Methodologies combined with SSL
I do but out of respect I don't mention it too much on the boards. For my "sports" I need the ability to occasionally move heavy objects (packs, people, loaded kayaks, etc.) so I incorporate other training to address this need. I do not do oly lifts or max weight work though.

Just to be clear though, the vast majority of my training is SSL. Good stuff!
