
Transverse Plio
Various sports require rotational strength in the transverse plane. For both injury prevention and performance purposes, torque should be produced by proximal muscles of the trunk and transferred via the limbs to, for e.g. propel the body forward (during running/walking), execute a forceful punch during boxing, kicking and paddling during kayaking.
Additionally, linear pull strength (e.g. pull during scrummaging/contact) of the upper limbs and change of direction technique can be trained/enforced.
